An About page is the ultimate boss for a writer like me. If I knew what I was about, would I even be here?
In the words of Joan Didion,"I write entirely to find out what I'm thinking, what I'm looking at, what I see and what it means. What I want and what I fear."
If I have an origin story at all, it might be this story of my father's life on the ice, and after. Or, perhaps this, on how my mother taught us wonder.
I'm preoccupied with memory, perception, and cognition. I love art, books, and nature. Some of my most loved pieces are:

With the percentage I receive, I donate to the Native American Rights Fund, a Native-founded organization with a solid track record of fighting and winning legal battles from an Indigenous perspective, all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
